Vintage 1940's Dazey No 4 Model B Football Butter Churn. These were the last style of manual DAZEY butter churns and only came in 2 sizes (4 quart and 8 quart). This shape , called "tulip" or "clover leaf" claimed to prevent unchurned cream from being caught in the corners, and therefore easier to clean. They are sometimes referred to as the "B model" or Football Churn because of its shape. These were the only manual DAZEY butter churn to have the gears enclosed. The bottom of the jar is embossed "DAZEY CHURN PAT. APP. FOR NO. 4 (FOR 4 QT) MADE IN ST. LOUIS, MO. U. S. A DAZEY CORPORATION. This is in good condition showing the normal wear from use. The rim is smooth and the glass is free from cracks or chips. Item measures 13" tall. Glass rim is 5 1/2" wide
